At St Joseph's Parish the children are able to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as the Sacrament of Penance, or Confession) from Year 3 on. Families may have come from other parishes or a diocese where the reception of this Sacrament is at a different age. If your child is in Year 3 or older he/she will be most welcome. This is a Parish Based program and children may join the program from State Schools, Independent Schools, Catholic Schools or Home Schooled.
In all teaching sessions in weeks 1 through 4 children return to Parents in the Church at the Mass. It is the responsibility of parents to be present at the Mass.

The location for the Reconciliation Program is St Joseph's Catholic Church, 2 Cumberland Street, Cessnock, NSW 2325.
The cost of the program is $20.00. If this represents a financial barrier please discuss this with the Program Coordinators or with the Parish Priest.
The first reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation is a communal (or Second Rite) celebration. Appropriate dress is requested.
